About This Blog

Celebrating Tenacity, Passion and Ingenuity!

The generation born between 1980 and 1998 is known as “The Trophy Generation.” Supposedly, this was the first generation to receive “Thank you for participating” trophies in their childhood to promote the idea that there are no losers in competition. Most sociologists studying the Trophy Generation believe that Trophy kids expect to get something for nothing, have a high sense of self-entitlement and are not willing to work as hard as previous generations.

This blog, thetrophygeneration.com, is meant to challenge these stereotypes. While embracing our generational culture of educated, success-driven, and technologically advanced peers, the goal of this blog is to redefine the Trophy Generation as people who are tenacious, passionate and ingenious. People may assume that Trophy Kids are apathetic and unwilling to work tirelessly to achieve their dreams and to reach their full potential, but this blog will prove otherwise. To do so, thetrophygeneration.com features Trophy Kids who are fiercely laboring to be somebody in this world.

Join us in supporting these Trophy Kids and fighting the good fight by following this blog and spreading the word about it to your friends. Trophy Kids Unite!
